Sequence of a Die or Wafer Order

The logistical sequence of any order for die or wafers is as follows:

(a) The manufacturer earmarks a new wafer lot exclusively for a specific DD & S order (minimum order = one wafer or an equivalent number of die).

(b) The typical lead-time for delivery is 8-10 weeks.

(c) The manufacturer ships the order to DD & S for trans-shipment to the customer or drop-ships the order directly to the customer.

(d) In either case, DD & S invoices the customer upon shipment to the customer.
